Street Art and Parkettes

From There To Here

803 Talbot Street (Caring Cupboard)

Taking inspiration from the St. Thomas-Elgin Immigration Partnership’s 2020 cookbook “From There to Here” this mural embodies the celebration of food from across the world. Vibrant and fun, the artists sought to bring food to life in the same way it does when we sit down with friends for a good meal. Food is also the ultimate connector across cultural boundaries and by mashing everything up together you get something beautiful and unique.

Clear Eyes Collective is a group of creative individuals with a main objective of bringing artistic beauty to every corner of the community through painting murals. Common themes in their work include various elements of nature, pop/street culture and an animated style that is coloured with psychedelic overtones.

The artists of CEC have but one goal: to integrate the mysterious power of art into the plain urban cityscape which is generally absent of colour and creativity. The street artist roams through the city streets, not as a bystander, but bearing the torch of beauty and colour. Transforming the regular cement and brick buildings into a gallery. As a collective we hope to do what we love and open communities to the idea of using art to bring people together.

Artists can make a public statement about the society in which they create, or simply bring more beauty to its walls. Clear Eyes Collective strives to bring flavour and style to the spaces in which we live and interact. They hope you are captivated by the art, and proud of the streets in which you travel so frequently as they are brought to life through art.
