Home, more than a space, is often a feeling encompassing a curated sense of security and belonging. Inspired by the visual nature of comfort, Megan Oldhues depicts a young woman dozing off while in the gentle presence of her cat. Using an artful choice of eclectic furniture and floral patterns from materials within her friend’s homes, Oldhues aims to highlight the relationship between individual and space.
As time carries on we accumulate tangible artefacts and visual cues to evoke feelings of comfort and safety. The idea of home at its core becomes a timeless personal quest reflective of human nature.
