Jordan Spreader

The Jordan Spreader was used to disperse track ballast (the crushed stones that support the rails and ties), to remove snow, build banks, clean and dig ditches, and trim embankments of brush along the side of the tracks. Number 51041 was built for CN in 1920 and last worked in Eastern Canada in 1990.
